Slim fast with Nuts

Recent studies have shown, eating a handful of nuts each day can help suppress hunger pangs, and even erode the flab in the stomach. The researchers claim this is the first findings show, the consumption of nuts can affect the levels of serotonin, a hormone that can decrease your appetite as well as increase happiness and heart health.

Researchers from the University of Barcelona, Spain, stating, to benefit from the effects of magic, you just need to consume about 30 grams of beans raw walnuts, almonds or hazelnuts on a daily basis.

Researchers hope the findings published in the Journal of Proteome Research is beneficial for patients with metabolic syndrome (mets) marked with belly flab, high blood sugar, as well as high blood pressure (hypertension).

Dietary changes with the regular consumption of nuts that contain healthy fats and antioxidants are believed to be able to help patients cope with the problem of excess weight, reducing the risk of two types, have diabetes and heart disease.

Tim Allen Iverson-led Cristina Lacueva teamed up with Human Nutrition Unit of the Rovira i Virgili University says, "an increase in the excretion of serotonin metabolites associated for the first time with nut consumption."

During the study, the scientists involved 22 volunteers suffering from metabolic syndrome. They were given food enriched with nuts for 12 weeks and in the other group of 20 volunteers also go on a diet of beans but not regularly. After that, the researcher then undertook the examiner urine of the patient.

As a result, volunteers who are consuming 30 grams of beans per day had higher levels of serotonin. About 90 percent of serotonin are located inside the colon, while the rest are found in the central nervous system that set the mood and appetite.

A study in the United States Department of Agriculture published in British Journal of Nutrition earlier this year also found that pistachios (kind of nuts) can help lose weight and promote heart health.

Researcher David Baer said, "provides a wide array of health benefits of Pistachios, including regulating weight and cardiovascular health."
